Ashley Reservoir - Spring 2015 or Nikon 28-300VR Rediscovered...Went to the local photo store to check on new Tamron all-in-one 28-300VC PZD lens since 24-120VR reach sometimes is not enough and carrying huge 80-400VR AFS is kinda bulky for casual hiking and I was still missing my old 28-300VR... Well, I took some shots in store attached to D800E and on screen they looked OK, but after checking them at home on big monitor one more time I told myself to stay with Nikon lenses... Got new Nikon 28-300VR today... Tested at my favorite local lakes and no surprise here - it is day and night compared to Tamron (at least to me) and pretty close at 300mm to 80-400AFS... Very sharp lens! I honestly think I got a better copy this time than I had before. Shot with D600. B+W 010 UV filter attached. All photos here: http://www.grigphoto.com/p294048214
